About
JN Studio was founded in 2013 by Joakim Nyström - a multidisciplinary practitioner with more than 10 years international experience working in the borderland between design, architecture and art. He has a Masters degree in Interior Architecture and Furniture Design from Konstfack and a post masters degree in Architecture and Art in Public Space from the Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm. Nyström combines working on his own creative projects alongside JN Studio. In 2021 and 2022 he was awarded funding by the Swedish Arts and Grants Committee (Kulturbryggan) for the development of the project Sonic Leftovers. In his individual artistic practice, he frequently works with wood, producing pieces which sit at the intersection of sculpture and painting. In 2021 a selection of Nyström’s artworks were exhibited at Liljevalchs Spring Salon.
